WATERLOO, ONTARIO, January 5, 2003-- Dave Godglick of Waterloo, Ontario has earned the designation of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), the premier professional certification for information security experts. The CISSP is awarded by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2, a non-profit consortium dedicated to training and certifying information security professionals worldwide.
"In today's security-aware environment, corporations and government agencies are implementing comprehensive information security programs to prevent the network break-ins, virus infections and malicious codes that have become a way of life," said Jim Duffy, managing director of (ISC)2 based in Framingham, Mass. "With this new sense of urgency and mission, the lack of highly trained security professionals is getting a fresh look as an underlying problem in meeting global information security needs."
