Q. Who is Cyg.Net?
A. Cyg.Net is owned by Mornington Communications Co-op
Ltd., an Independent Telephone Company that has served Mornington, Ellice
and Elma townships since 1919.
Q. Has BondNet gone out of business?
A. No, Dave Godglick, the owner of BondNet has been
certified as a CISSP and has decided to continue any new growth of BondNet
in assisting businesses to protect themselves from the global threats
inherent with doing business on the Internet.
Q. What's does CISSP stand for?
A. Certified Information System Security Professional.
CISSP Certification was designed to recognize mastery of an international
standard for information security(note 1). The difficulty in obtaining
this accreditation is proof of BondNet 's dedication to provide it's
clients with highest level of support.
Billing
Q.Will BondNet still be sending out invoices to me?
A. No, All connectivity
and hosting services as of January 1st, 2003 will be invoiced by
Cyg.net
Q. I am in arrears for past services, who do I send
my past payments to?
A. Any invoices from 2002 that have not been paid should
be made payable to BondNet
Q. Do I still continue with the same service package
I had with BondNet ?
A. For a period of 6 months you may continue with the
same service package. Within the six months you should choose one of
the new packages available to you from Cyg.Net
Q. When I receive an invoice from Cyg.Net what billing
period is it for?
A. Unless otherwise stated the billing period is for
the month the invoice is generated. i.e. if the invoice is dated January
2, 2003 than the billing period is January 1, 2003 through January 31,
2003
Internet Addresses
Q. Can I continue to use my @bond.net e-mail address?
A. Yes, for 6 months BondNet is permitting the use of
the domains bond.net and BondNet .ca to the customers that transfer over.
This will allow you to continue with existing business cards etc.
Q. What address will I be using when I stop using
bond.net.
A. During the next 6 months all users will be physically
moved to Cyg.Net's servers. When you have been transferred you may use
@cyg.net or @bond.net(until June 30, 2003) After June 30, 2003 you will
continue to use the @cyg.net e-mail address.
Q. What about my http://www.bond.net/~website?
A. Personal website URLs will be valid until your username
is transferred over to Cyg.Net's servers. If you would like BondNet
will place a redirection on the old URL to your new Cyg.Net address
during the transfer period
Service
Q. BondNet has always provided us with a high level
support will this continue with Cyg.Net?
A. Yes, In fact BondNet provides network support and
security for Cyg.Net and will continue
to do so in the future to ensure the same reliable service. In addition
to the dependable Internet services you are familiar with you will also
gain exceptional front-end support from Cyg.Net's friendly staff.
Q. Will I have to reconfigure my computer to dial
in?
A. No, the equipment that you dial in to will remain
in the same location and therefore the phone number will not change.
All other entries like DNS servers have been assigned by the server
for years and shouldn't need to be touched.

8:30 am to 10:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 PM
